Rebuild Started

Published by at 4:16 pm under Rebuild Started

Lifting the Olds BodyOver Easter the rebuild of the Oldsmobile started or to be more accurate the dismantling started. First the body was lifted from the chassis. Just four bolts were rumoured to hold the body on  to the chassis but in reality there were a few more and some other fittings to get off but then eventually one was separated from the other. Next day the engine was dismantled so now there are a  lot of bits about the garage and a few decisions to make in the next few days about whether to have a new crankshaft made. More later………

    Hi Joy and Trevor,
How about a web cam set up in the garage so we can all see progress……
The know all’s could offer their advice.
We would then all know where the coffee machine and hospitality area is!

Did you mention coffee machine and hospitality area??? Gosh, there’s no time for socialising. Most weekends from now until the end of summer will be spent in the workshop with no time for breaks.
Could do with plenty of advice though. Perhaps I should take up knitting instead – it might be less stressful.
The web cam might be a good idea but being female I’d probably have to have my hair set, wear make-up and good clothes and I don’t usually do any of those things.
Isn’t that a stereotypical male point of view!!!!

Joy & Trevor, I’ve mailed my good friends in Florida to inform them of your plans and passed on your website address. I’ll await response.
